    Life Insurance/blood work

I'm thinking about getting more life insurance, but wanna go on soon. I know they take a blood sample when they evaluate you, but does anyone know what they test for?

They won"t test for any gear. They will only be looking for your more popular drugs, coke, H, weed, etc. The thing to be concerned about is your BP, cholesterol, and liver function. These can all increase with juice. They look at those functions as pre-cusers to how healthy you will remain as you get older. Most companies will not blood test you for policies less then 250k, but they will do urine tests. Most blood and urine tests are good for 6 months with insurance carriers. So you can get them done now, before you go on and they will be ok.

I've been in the business for 10 years, so I'm not talking out of my ass!

big Dog's right. They test for nacotics and STDs.
I wouldn't be caught dead with a woman my age or 5 years younger.

I just had one done for the same reason
    they are not the police
they are not checking for specific drugs pre-say
they are placing you into a risk group based on your overall health
now sure if you have cocaine in your system thats not healthy
but being clean but overweight with high colesterol may put u in a high risk group also

all that said, i was on 250/wk enth when i took my insurance physical and i scored normal risk group
Don't steal my name. I am Straad. Not the straad village that's on the isle of bute. not the straad name-servers or the straad abbreviations and not even the straad players from second life, but the Straad from greatmanjohn, the gmj forums. Straad, the paranoid, overweight, grumpy, human-hating powerlifter!

I've got life cover - needed to when I got the mortgage for my house. But I was never asked to go for a full medical. I was just asked questions over the phone before the cover was applied

I got life insurance for myself and a contractor for the company came to my house and took blood. The main thing they were testing for besides health problems, was if I was a smoker or not. That would depend the price. In addition they tested for drugs. I know Ster testing is quite expensive so most places wont test for that unless there is a specific reason to do so

actually most banks of tests test for prescription drug abuse as well like oxycotin and the like as a lot of professionals abuse these..
