    "carb crashing"

well 3 weeks ago I decided I would cut my carbs down from about 280 to 80 carbs a day. I'll admit I've never done this before. After the first week I was feeling it pretty heavy, you know the tiredness. Here I am at week 3 and I've got more energy before. Which is natural, because as everyone know, once you cut the carbs all your body has to do is basically eat the fat on your body. Well I'm actually doing cardio for the first time in my life, I know it's sad but all i've every done is strength train and that was it. So I'm doing cardion 5x a week and strength training 5x a week (one body part a day). So at week three i've cut 17lbs and no I'm not on atm... It's probably mostly water. But I've had to buy more jeans/shorts because they're falling off of me now. I'll say this I'm only about 5'5 3 weeks ago I was at 187 or so. About 27% bf, now today I'm at 170... Hopefully I can stay i this range for a bit. Got ALOT more fat to cut tho, upper abs are starting the show, but lower not so much.

keep at it Lee. low carbs suck at the start but you will get great results. Don't forget to load some carbs in every ten days or so.

yup thats exaclty how im doing it too. as an update Im still at 170 and haven't lost anymore. which i'm glad to stay at this weight, by body fat is still going away quickly. the muscle definition is coming out. people are starting to notice also, which is great motivator. I'm picking up on my cardio to. 4 weeks ago it took me over 1 hour to make it around a 2 mile park, which is full of hills. at that time i couldnt even dream of running it. today i ran about 50% of it. and made the entire 2 mile in 25 mins, which is fantastic imo, considering the improvements over that last month. I'm cardio 5x week on a treadmill, and 1-2x at the park a week. so all and all its getting alot better. my goal is to be able to run the entire park non stop. but ill be there before long

I do my cardio in the evening first thing after work around 730 cst. I can't in the morning because of work. But basically for 30 mins before my work out. Kinda as a warm up. Except fri and saturday I don't hit the weights, but I do run on those days. I guess whats motivating is seeing the quick improvements versus weight training its not as frequent, well for me anyhow
