The missus said she'd join the new gym in town with me, so jacked in at my gym. Turns out the new gym open now till christmas. Sop we decided fuck it, just join the gym closest to our house. nothing fancy, plenty of cardio stuff for her and some bars and big weights for me, power rack, benches,etc. Bare minimum for me really. But I think it'll be good for me. Too much choice of equipment has led me to swap exercises too often. Just gonna go for a basic routine. Power based.
Had to stop training DC style, but fuck it, back to basics.

Now one of the guys is a very good mate of mine but he's always taking the piss......and it gets boring when he keeps going on about the same thing for ages. We've had a few little arguments in the past and I've warned him that I've been close to hitting him on several occasions.......still he just laughs and carries on taking the piss.

Yesterday, after we'd been drinking a while, he starts taking the piss. The other two mates are telling him to stop cos he's being irritating.

Outside the food place he starts again and I shout at him to stop or I'll hit him. He then starts chanting "Come on then" and even slaps me around the head twice.

I gave him a punch - not a real hard one - and he drops to the floor.

He then gets up and says again "Come on then" The other two guys restrain him and tell him he's being a knob. He then apologises and keeps saying sorry for ages.

I know I was justified in hitting him, and the other 2 mates said they were surprised I didn't do it far earlier in the day.

But I still feel guilty for hitting a mate!

He phoned today and said sorry again which makes me feel even more guilty.

He's a fair bit smaller than me which makes me feel like a bully!

Would you guys have done the same? I was out celebrating my daughter's exam results with two mates. A woman came up to me and gave me her business card of her best friend. I looked across and the friend was an absolute knockout!! At first I thought it was a wind up. But later on she came across and started chatting to me.
