    Why We Fight

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I highly suggest to anyone, American or not, to watch this movie to understand why we fight. I would be more than hapy to burn you a coppy of the DVD if you like and send it to you.

Here is a link to a preview of the movie: *Please turn your speakers on*

This farewell address served as a warning to us by President Eisenhower has unfortunately come true and it saddens me we did not take heed to the warning by a man who understood and oversaw the buildup of the American Military Empire. He warned us what would happen if left unchecked. Please watch his messege. In it he says we stand mid point of a century (50 years) that has seen 4 major wars, 3 of which involved our own country. Today, we stand less than 10 years into this century and already we are in the middle of 3 major wars and all involve our countries.

wow america spend alot on their military , on the british news it reported british soldiers going to war without the basic protective kit , over 60 of our soldiers have died due to not having the correct kit , alot of the british weapons are either inadequate or obsolete , i think thats shocking and the soldiers who do survive have a real bad time trying to recover within the NHS . The basic salary of a british soldier aged 18 years and over was around £16 000 a year . If my boys wanted to be soldiers id be gutted and would try my best to talk them out of signing up.

Evie, we spend more money on our military than all other members of NATO plus russia, china and north korea combined. This is not a way of life. It is in my opinion, humanity hanging by a thread. What Eisenhower coined "the military industrial-complex" is basically the military being influenced and driven by people and corporations that are not accountable to the voters of our nation. They only care about making money or keeping their jobs and not what the goal of the military is or whats best for our country. I see no sense whatsoever to have 175 military bases around the world when we have only 136 countries on our planet. Politicians whine and cry about Iran or North Korea or China & Russia but the real peril to our planet is our very own imperial agenda, which it is my belief began after world war two in order to replace the British Empire. And that is exactly what has happened, sadly.
