Well, the board seems to have calmed down a bit, so I decided to post some (personal) updates.
A few weeks ago we received news that one of the pre-natal screenings came back positive for Down's Syndrome. So I went and had an amniocentesis done to either confirm or rule out the result. VERY PAINFUL/UNCOMFORTABLE procedure!
Two weeks later (this past Wednesday) we found out that it was in fact a "false" positive and the baby is fine! I think the past 3 weeks along with the waiting were very stressful and more emotional than anything I have ever experienced!
The other news we received is that I am considered a placenta previa which means I will most likely deliver via cesearian. Ughhh! But as long as the baby is healthy, I will recover...it also just means I may be on bedrest for the end of my pregnancy! Oh and no sex til after the baby!!! SOOOO unfair!
But on the joyful side, we discovered that we will be having a BOY....just as the Chinese conception chart predicted!
So I am half-way through this pregnancy and I feel like I have already been preggo for 8+ months!
